“We fully support the GFFC’s crucial mission to drive a redesign of the footwear industry. With a large part of the 330 million shoes bought in the UK each year ending in landfill, there is an urgent need to upskill designers in relevant green design skills and push systemic changes that allow circular business models to become the norm.
We wish the GFFC the best of luck for the Symposium and look forward to engaging in conversations with some of the sector’s global leaders.”
– Minnie Moll, Chief Executive of the Design Council
“The footwear industry today faces both untold challenges, and untold opportunities. The Global Footwear Future Coalition will play a vital role in helping the industry to convert the former into the latter – and I’m looking forward to sharing insights at the launch symposium.”
– Jen Keane, Co-Founder and CEO of Modern Synthesis
“I am truly excited to learn of the creation of the Global Footwear Futures Coalition with its commendable aim of creating an organisation that brings together every aspect of footwear and its associated industries to reimagine and shape the future of the industry”.
